In her design work, Zofia Strumillo is inspired by Polish folk culture's heritage as well as science and technology. Her explorations have resulted in the creation of the Wave kilim, which refers to the foundations of quantum physics and the wave-like behavior of matter, but also to the characteristic folk striped textiles called “pasiak”. Wave is presented in a color scheme composed of sea greens and navy blues. The diamond pattern, characteristically deconstructed by the designer, is woven "with a loop" giving the fabric a ripple effect, making it a three-dimensional experience.
