The engagement of Poland’s finest contemporary artists in kilim design has been a long-lasting tradition. The Chaos kilim was created by Edgar Bąk, one of the most renowned Polish graphic designers today. Edgar uses a visual language consisting of simple geometric forms and neat typography. These elements are also visible in the kilim, which he designed exclusively for Splot. Though its form is reduced to only two colors and few shapes, it manages to create an enigmatic pattern with a modern, minimalist, yet highly original quality.
In the ancient Greek imaginarium cosmos comes from chaos. Cosmos consists mainly of dark matter and dark energy. Cosmos is a reconfiguration of chaos.
