Splot is proud to present a kilim by Józef Czajkowski, an artist who represented Poland at the now famed International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. To mark the centenary of these events, we offer a textile in a monumental size 180 x 300 cm, which will perfectly match the most luxurious and sophisticated interiors.
Józef Czajkowski, born in Warsaw, was a multi-talented artist, accomplished in the fields of painting, architecture as well as design. One of his greatest achievements was his artistic success at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925, where he was awarded a gold medal in the field of architecture and design, for his works displayed at exhibitions in the Polish pavilion and the Grand Palais, with the Paris kilim in the vanguard.
